Ok that is. I had been feeling pretty great for the last few days and went to see Brad the physio on Tuesday for a bit of a check in. I was getting a bit smug about how if I was feeling so good I must have been totally straight and even and all things good in a pelvis.
In the end Brad said I was about 1/2 a centimetre out which is pretty good (compared to 2.5cm one time!) and was out to the complete opposite side that I was last time. Damn pelvis. In any event he did some manipulation and taped me up (down?) again.
I also had a run on the treadmill which he videod and I was looking alright actually. My core is a lot stronger although I am still dropping the right hip a little. Also now rather than tightening up my right arm we are going to try dropping the left. My right has improved a lot though and is not swinging wildly like it used to!
So then it got interesting. Brad taped me up and I left, happy as larry - everything is fixed, I will be able to run ultramarathons within a couple of weeks etc etc. Then in the afternoon the adductor starts to hurt. Then my hip. Then I go water running at the pool and it just constantly niggles in the adductor (ok groin) region. Not so bad that I had to stop, but enough that Mike the water physio was frowning at me for continuing. Then it just hurt generally that night.
Yesterday the niggles continue. Low grade by contant - hip and the SIJ magic spot which means bad news. All day... Did my core lady work last night which improved it a bit. Still felt a bit funny this morning so I took the tape off. Did my core work again and...
HEY PRESTO I'M HEALED! Again. So I ran my 30 mins. A few niggles in the first few minutes but it totally warmed up and felt better at the end than it did at the start. Couple of hours later and I still feel good. Huzzah!
Perhaps my pelvis is not interested in conforming to societal expectations of where it 'should' be? Perhaps it is quite happy to be 0.5cm askew. Whatever the answer i am currently - happy :)
Nice to run a bit with RA and Sam this morning also!
