Righto - a quick update.
I ran for 3 hours last Sunday. That is kind of the main event so not sure anything else needs be spoken of! Pascale and Sam kindly accompanied me for which I am eternally grateful. The last half hour was the most horrendous that I have felt in a long time. About 5 walking breaks. Eek. Still it was hot and I finished. Not sure exactly how far as I lost 10 mins on the garmin when I forgot to turn it back on, but I think around 26k. Probably shouldn't have gone out as fast as we did but we were feeling good! ...then...
Since then I am having big problems with my feet. The whole run was pretty painful and I was getting quite worried. Managed to get into the physio yesterday and have a plan that involves strange foot/ankle taping, voltaren, ice, massage (but only the tib post, not the foot itself) and something else - it is a long list! Just ran and it felt pretty good actually - only intermittent pain and the tape itself didn't give me any problems which i was concerned about.
I am working in a hired office in the city this week to get away from all my distractions at home. Started yesterday and I have to say it worked! I was very productive and didn't faff about half as much as usual. Good stuff. Might look into getting a desk in an office somewhere more permanently because I think it would be a smart move financially!
Hi there,
It's amazing what getting away from the house can do for your concentration/procrastination levels...
I tried to work from home once and it sounds like a great idea but I was so distracted!
Hope all is well with your foot!

3 hrs is great. Doesn't matter if you needed a couple of walk breaks, its the time on the feet that does you good.
